We hope you and your family and friends have managed to keep safe and well during these difficult times for everyone around the world and whilst we were hoping that you would be able to enjoy bowls, snooker and the club facilities again by Christmas, this, sadly is not possible.
We will reopen the club bar and the snooker facilities as soon as the Government guidance permits the wider use of the premises but the current guidance means that this is highly unlikely in the near future.
During the current lockdown it was decided that we had an opportunity to carry out some long-needed refurbishments to the lounge and the snooker room by a small number of volunteers. That work is almost finished and my thanks go to those members that assisted in this by redecorating, painting and generally improving the premises together with building work improvements in the far corner of the outside grounds where, many years ago, the outside toilets were situated.
The club could not have survived without your support by renewing your membership fees as stakeholders in the Club and secondly by us continually accessing all the Grants made available by the Government, Sheffield City Council and Sport England.
Once again, we hope that you can enjoy the previously called “Festive Season” ahead, whilst staying safe and healthy andlook forward to seeing you all again sometime in the new year.
